Soeurs Sotheara Thanked the Minister of Information for Providing Shelter for Her

Phnom Penh: Former actress Soeurs Sotheara posted a message thanking the minister of information for providing her with a significant amount of money so she could buy a new house for her family.

The message was posted on the morning of December 12, 2022, thanking the Minister of Information, Khieu Kanharith, and his wife for donating US $20,000 to buy a house as a shelter for her family. Also included in the post is the agreement to purchase a house in a Borey in Kampong Speu Province.

In the message, Soeurs Sotheara said: "I, Soeur Sotheara, and my children would like to express our gratitude to His Excellency Khieu Kanharith, Minister of Information, and his wife for providing me and my children with a place to live, which is worth US $20,000."

Soeurs Sotheara, a former actress, had the opportunity to meet with Minister Khieu Kanharith on December 9, 2022, and the Minister gave her good advice and encouragement to work hard to build a new life and especially provided her with a large sum of money.

She also said that as a gesture of appreciation, she and her children will return to the big screen, striving to work as artists once more.

It should also be noted that the former actress was devastated by the recent death of her beloved mother, while she was also mentally unstable for many years and required regular medication. At the same time, she is also facing a serious financial crisis.
